God and Fame

Seems like God isn’t interested in fame as much as we crave. God and fame, it just doesn’t tally.

It is just a thought. Not a concrete one yet, but am just pondering on some of the things He cares about vs some of the things we care about.

He gives us the freedom to choose how we want to represent Him before others, even if we may misrepresent Him.

The whole CHC saga that happened makes me wonder how many people have a misunderstanding of who Christ is because of the misrepresentation of the church.

It’s not just CHC, but the rest of us in the Body of Christ. How often have we misrepresented Christ when we had the choice to choose otherwise?

If He is so caught up with fame like most of us are, He wouldn’t have allowed these misrepresentations to happen.

So i believe He isn’t as egocentric as people think. I don’t think He wants us to worship Him because of ego or pride.

I believe He delights in our praises when we praise Him wholeheartedly, because through our praise and worship unto Him, we are telling Him that we acknowledge His existence and appreciate Him for who He is, like how a kid is appreciative of his/her parent, like how creation is appreciative of their Creator.

Which human being doesn’t like being appreciated or acknowledged for who they are?

Since we are created in His image, we have much more similarity to Him than we realize: He has real feelings too, as much as we have. Maybe even more intense feelings than we can ever imagine or experience.

May we know truly the depth of love He has for us and how He truly feels about us as His people.

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” [Psalm 139:14]
